Privacy notice
How the public TechMoney UK guides and tools handle browser entries, technical information and messages to the publisher.
Who is responsible?
Compliant Paraplanning Services Ltd, trading as TechMoney UK, is the controller responsible for personal information used to operate this public website and respond to messages about it. We are registered in Scotland, company number SC885584, with registered office at 99 Moray Park Avenue, Inverness, IV2 7LS, United Kingdom.
For privacy questions or requests, email steven@compliantparaplanningservices.co.uk or write to our registered office. This notice covers the public educational pages and tools, not a separate adviser or private service.
Tool entries stay in your browser
The public tools process entries in browser memory. Their code does not send your answers, figures, checklist selections or event labels to us, or save them in cookies, local storage or an account. The site does not provide a saved history of your entries.
Use fictional or non-identifying information. Your browser may retain form values or restore a page according to its own settings. If you print or save a result, the resulting copy is under your control. Close pages and remove any saved copies when using a shared device.
Website requests and analytics
Our lawful basis for cookieless analytics is our legitimate interest in understanding which pages are useful. Use the analytics control at the foot of any public page to opt out, free of charge. We honour Global Privacy Control. Only your analytics preference is stored in local storage, until you change it or clear site data. Tool inputs are not stored. Your preference applies separately to each website and browser.
Opening a page or loading its assets requires network requests. Hosting and security services can process technical information such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser details to deliver and protect the website.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics on the public educational pages to understand visits, referring websites and page performance. Its script sends page, referrer and technical performance information to Cloudflare. It does not set analytics cookies or use local storage, and our code does not send tool answers to it. IP addresses are necessarily processed when network requests are delivered.
This educational edition has no advertising pixel, newsletter signup, lead-capture form or adviser booking form. Visiting it or using a tool does not enrol you in marketing.
If you contact us
Providing information by email is optional. We use what you send to answer your query or handle a correction or rights request. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in replying and keeping a record for follow-up, complaints or legal claims. We do not make automated decisions about you.
An email or letter can contain your name, contact details, the page you are asking about and the information you choose to include. We use that information to handle your question, correction or privacy request and keep a record of the response. Please do not send account numbers, identity documents, health information or detailed financial records.
We rely on legitimate interests to operate and secure the website, understand its use and respond to messages. Those interests are maintaining useful educational information, resolving reported problems and protecting the service. Where a legal obligation applies, we use the relevant information to meet that obligation. We do not use this information to make automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects.
Service providers and retention
Providers supporting hosting, security, analytics and correspondence handle information needed for those services. Cloudflare provides the analytics described above. We may also disclose information when required by law. We do not send public tool entries to advisers.
Some providers may process technical or correspondence data outside the UK. The operator's business privacy notice explains its approach to international transfers. Contact us for information about the arrangements relevant to your request; Cloudflare also publishes its privacy policy.
We do not hold a server-side record of your tool entries. Technical records are subject to the hosting and analytics services' retention settings. If you contact us, we keep your message and our reply for up to three years after our last contact with you, so that we can deal with any follow-up, complaint or legal claim, and then delete them. Contact us if you need information about a particular record.
Your choices and rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask to access, correct or erase your personal information, restrict its use, object to processing based on legitimate interests, or receive portable data where that right applies. Contact us using the details above. We may need to check your identity before handling a request.
You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. You can also contact us first to explain your concern. External websites linked from TechMoney UK apply their own privacy notices when you visit them.
